Choose Your Finish

We offer doors stained and coated with polyurethane as well as as painted doors and bare wood, sanded doors for you to DIY your finish.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SMALL WOOD SHOP THAT DOES NOT COMMONLY UPDATE ITS WEBSITE.  PRICES VARY WITH MANY FACTORS INCLUDING MATERIAL PRICES.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THE PRICE YOU ARE QUOTED MIGHT NOT MATCH THE CHART IN THE LINK ABOVE.

Stain + Polyurethane

Oil based stain is used to add color and bring out the natural beauty of the wood.  Protection is added using a clear, water based polyurethane

Painted

Painted options will cover most visual grain in the wood and can provide a more modern finish.  Ask about premium wood options if you'd like a door free of knots other characteristics.

Bare Wood

Bare wood projects come sanded and routed for a door guide so you can save money by finishing yourself.  Inquire ahead about premium wood options

Other

Limited distressed options available.  Inquire for pricing.

Do You Need a Header Board?

If your door trim or baseboards are old, they are likely more than a half inch thick.  If yours are more than a half inch thick, we suggest a header board.  We can provide a header board to match your door project.  If you are installing a header board on a room that needs privacy, keep in mind the board moves the door farther away from the wall, so you may want to consider adding an inch or two to door width for some additional overlap.

Header board price varies with size, but typically will cost $20-$40 for bare wood and $40-60 for stained and finished.
